Documents can be printed from all computers in the University. Start by logging into a computer using your University login (student number and password). Access the documents you want to print and then select the print option.
In the printing dialogue box, select the type of printer you wish to use. When you select the option to print your document is sent to our print server, and is then available to be released from any of the printers on site, so you don’t need to choose which printer to send the document to, just how you want your document to come out.
There are two printer options to choose from:
- UoN_Student_Colour – This will print your document in colour
- UoN_Student_BW – This will print your document in black and white
If you need to adjust how the document prints (i.e. double sided) you will need to do this after you have selected the printer.
Once you have sent the document to print you can release if from any printer on campus that is for student use. Login to the printer by pressing the button marked ‘Alternate Login’ and enter your student ID number and then either your University PIN or your NILE password. Once logged in, select the option to ‘Release Documents’ and you will see a list of any documents you have sent to the printer. Click on the document you want to print and press the ‘Print’ option.
If you have any difficulty using the printers please speak to a member of library staff.
